American Kennel Club Gun Dog Training Test
The American Kennel Club Gun Dog Training Test is designed to evaluate a dog’s ability to work with their handler in hunting scenarios. The test assesses skills such as obedience, retrieving, and pointing. The test is divided into three levels: Junior, Senior, and Master. The Junior level evaluates basic skills such as retrieving and obedience, while the Senior level assesses the dog’s ability to work independently and handle more complex hunting scenarios. The Master level is the most challenging and evaluates the dog’s ability to handle multiple hunting scenarios, including blind retrieves and honoring other dogs’ work. Overall, the test is a rigorous evaluation of a gun dog’s abilities and is highly respected in the hunting community.
